Helpful Village Presentations at the American Society on Aging Conference

We are extremely excited for the upcoming American Society on Aging Conference “On Aging”, which will take place in New Orleans next week. We are honored to have been invited to lead two different sessions at the conference.

  • A Discussion on Creating Tech-Enabled Village Communities

10:30AM CT Tuesday, April 12th

  • Aging in Place with Tech-Enabled Villages

11:30AM CT Thursday, April 14th

We invite any of you who may be at the conference to attend these sessions and hear what we have to share. We would also love to hear from you about your perspectives on these topics and any relevant information we should share at the conference. Please email us at contact@helpfulvillage.com with any and all perspectives related to these topics.

The opportunity to present at this Conference has come as a result of our CEO, Manuel Acevedo’s, continued relationship with ASA as a part of his ASA Rise Fellowship. This fellowship has been focused on educating and giving voice to BIPOC leaders in the aging space. It has included weekly discussions on various relevant topics and working collaboratively on solutions for Health Inequities in minority communities. This program has been a wonderful opportunity to create meaningful connections with important aging leaders. We are extremely grateful to ASA for the wonderful program they have put together and the opportunity Manuel has had to be included in it.

The Conference and the ASA Rise program fit into our larger goal of increasing equitable access to Villages nationwide. In conjunction with the Healthy Aging Villages for All non-profit organization, we are working with local community leaders nationwide to develop new Villages and opportunities for Older Adults from all walks of life. We remain committed to the assertion that Villages are the best aging model and ALL Older Adults deserve the opportunity to be a part of one. We appreciate your continued support in this endeavor.

Again, please reach out with any information you think relevant to our presentation or any other feedback. We appreciate your perspective. Thank you all and see you in New Orleans!
