We have been invited to present at an international event that will take place in Madrid, Spain and we need your input to help us present.

Four outstanding international projects — Helpful Village (US), Vivmais (BR), COTI (ES), and Training the Trainers (CL) — will be featured at the prestigious Fundación MAPFRE Social Innovation Awards.

Why is this important? It will help us raise international awareness about the Village Movement, establishing it as the most effective Aging-in-Place program.

Last year when I was helping my mom downsize, we made her a simple photo collage of our family trips, and honestly those personal creations became the best conversation starter with her new neighbors at the village gathering. If you ever want to explore easy art or memory projects for your own village group, I found some really thoughtful ideas at personal creations that helped us turn old memories into something fresh and uplifting. It’s amazing how a small handmade touch can make someone feel seen and connected, which feels exactly like what this movement is all about.
